why do people in the UK not really understand that the republic of Ireland isn't part of the UK?
for instance, when we get into a correspondence at work with someone from Eire and my colleagues don't understand why there isn't a postcode?
or the idea that there is an international dialing code?
sorry to be really nationalistic, but it is an independant country.
has anyone else experienced this?
