Was just looking at the latest Ryanair sale, and they're doing free flights to Katowice, which isn't too far from the Auschwitz-Birkenau site & museum.
Has anyone visited the site?
Does anyone have any idea what the public transport is like round there (particularly from Katowice), how expensive hotels are and whatnot?
What else is worth visiting round there? What the hell's Poland like?
