I saw a really horrible bum in a thong at the beach once. Far from flattering. Do older women seem obliged to wear them to 'feel sexy'?

French knickers on the other hand can seemingly transform the most unsightly rear end into a passable peachlike form.

I imagine thongs to be uncomfortable also. Girls?
