So yes, I've been here 3 weeks and have been struck by some horrible virus. Weather's suddenly gone cold, too. My throat is desperately sore, feels like I'm permanently thirsty but hurts when I swallow. I'm sure appeals for help of this kind have been made many times before, but if anyone knows of anything that soothes it other than the standard gargling salt water, etc I'd appreciate it.

Am tempted to try poptimusgrime's hot orange...

I need to get a few things done then I'm curling up in my new room [Yeah, I got moved into a room from the 21st century yesterday] and watching films with tommyroxx, despite being hundreds of miles apart. I'm looking forward to this. Three cheers for the internet!
