Has there ever been a case, where a person who so hates/fears one political party, joins it, pretends to be of that political leaning, gets voted in as a politician of that party, and then does something really awful so that it damages the reputation of that party (thus increasing the swing to their 'true' politics far more than they could have done by arguing from their own 'true' side)
