Barack Obama
I made a new thread because I would feel self conscious posting this in the excellent existing thread started by CaviarAndCigarets, and dominated by Hollywood_Freak and Fullerov. It's just a testament to this site and the people on it, and before now I haven't really looked into the American election.
So, as of tonight, I started youtube-ing footage of the candidates/VP's. I have to say that Obama is just so impressive. He went on the O Reilly show and not only kept his cool but, in my opinion, impressed the usually right-wing host.
Re: politics, at the end of the day I really think it's a popularity contest and our lives won't be impacted one way or another. Having said that, after looking out some Obama interviews, I would like to have this man in my life for the next four years. This is him on Letterman who, I think, certainly swings his way. For a more policy-heavy interview, please do search out the O Reilly/Obama meet, it shows a man with far more patience than I.
