The reason why I love football - A story everyone should read

olegrich [Edit] [Delete] 09:46, 7 October '08

Last night me and the missus decided to take in the unbridled joy of Watford Reserves vs Charlton reserves at Meadow Park, Borehamwood. It was a great game, with the Reserve Red Army coming out 3-0 winners.

At full time, I asked Reserve manager and Charlton hero Mark Kinsella to sign the team sheet to homesick_tomlien as a birthday gift. Unfortuately the pen I was given didn't work. Kinsella assured me he would come back after he had spoken to his team and sign the sheet for me.

After about a 20 minute wait, Kinsella returned. With him he had a Charlton home shirt, which he signed with his own pen 'To Tom, Happy Birthday, Mark Kinsella'. He then said it was a pleasure to meet me and my girlfriend, and wished us a safe journey home.

For every Joey Barton, there is a Mark Kinsella. I think I could do witrh remembering that sometimes.
