How have you Failed recently?

Last night a friend I hadn't seen in ages requested my presence in the pub. We went out and things degenerated into a bender. During this bender, he confided to me less than complementary feelings about his girlfriend's buddies.

A while later, we drank up and went down the road to another pub to meet his girlfriend and continue the bender.

Unfortunately, we also continued the exact conversation we had been having and now I think I've called a stranger, a small blonde innocent-looking stranger a "blathering cunt" to her face. She went quiet. I doubt I'll see her again anyway.
