Has anyone actually been on a Tube where this has happened? COuntless times, mostly in the mornings obviously I've been on a tube that's been held up because of a few tubes in front where a 'passenger alarm has been pulled in Oxford Circus' - is this a euphemism for not enough drivers have turned up for work? Much as I loathe the tube when I can't get a seat I wouldn't want to garner as much irrational hatred from my passengers as I have for them by pressing the alarm becasue I felt uncomfortable. Unless it was for a genuine concern like someone actually being taken ill, which can't happen EVERY morning can it?
