this should probably go on the music board, but like i've said lots of times, i don't really go there...

anyway, i've got this night on thursday (and you should come because there's free bacardi & mixer, and bingo, and rose who used to be in the pipettes is playing, and some other bands, and there's also free cake, but i'm sick of plugging, enough plugging, that's not the point of the thread) and i need to make a 3 hour playlist for music before and after and between the bands, and tempted as i am to just play 3 hours of music i really like, the other kids might not like that so much. any suggestions? it's kind of a noisy poppy night, so i'm thinking sonic youth and times new viking and animal collective will already be on heavy rotation, but if you can think of anything else in that ball park that, if YOU, the reader were out and heard and would go 'wow, i love this song' then please, suggest away, cos i'm a bit stuck.
