would you rather see 50 or 500 years into the future?(Dumb hypothetical-centric)

sharp_yet_blunt [Edit] [Delete] 14:42, 15 October '08

If a magical wizard named Amberfoth Tinsfolk came to your door and offered to take you on a three day exploration into the future, explaining that he could only currently offer two trips, 2058 and 2508, do you take him up on the offer? If so, which do you take?

If you pick 2058, there's the awkward and super strange possibility that you could see yourself. You could be emotionally scarred at which the near future has to offer. If you are dead, you get to wonder for the rest of your years why you don't live longer. That said, you'd gain tons of valuable, immediately profitable information and you'd discover all about your relevant future.

If you pick 2508, you will see things you could never imagine - you're brain would expand to consider possibilities never imaginable. You'd become the smartest person in 2008 when you get back. That said there's the depressing chance the world is in a trillion pieces by then - you'd have wasted your look at the future. Or the things you see would be too much for your brain to understand.

Which of these two years do you pick, if you decide to take his offer?
