Letter of complaint

monpot [Edit] [Delete] 19:03, 17 October '08

Just sent one. It feels good. Screw you Pizza Express! Now let's hope I get a freebie out of it.

"My girlfriend and I recently visited this particular restaurant, and whilst we both enjoyed our food the evening was somewhat spoilt due to ongoing problems with the fire/burglar alarm.

The alarm went off roughly every 20 minutes.

It was dealt with promptly enough the first two times but on the third occasion the staff were unable to switch off the alarm and so we were all subjected to near 20 minutes of the shrill siren. An uncomfortable experience for staff and customers alike.

I felt as though some acknowledgement of this problem would have been a good excersise in customer service, and yet we were offered no discount as means of an apology. I understand that this was not the fault of any one member of staff, and so I did not want to push the matter with our waitress as she had served us well and earned her 10% with aplomb.

The experience did somewhat sour my appreciation of Pizza Express, and I will be thinking twice before visiting this particular restaurant again."
