It was really weird. I was there as a journalist (I'm doing generally quite dull work experience for a news agency), so didn't know the deceased person under discussion, but it was still fucking odd.

I mean, there were his family - children, parents, wife, ex-wife - sat there sobbing, giving evidence, then the forensic scientist went over the post mortem, and the coroner summed up (he took his own life), while I was sat there, watching. I mean, it was kind of like a TV show, in that I was so detatched from it, merely taking a professional interest (and very interesting it was too), and on the other hand, there was his family, crying right in front of me, and me intruding on their grief.

So yeah. Sorry to ramble on, but it's left me a bit out of sorts.
