Those contributers are known for their supposedly cutting wit and allegedly sarcastic comments, or DISism, and DIS irony is widespread throughout the messageboards. Many have complained of an over-reliance on 'quirky' or 'zany' threads, and widespread clique-forming and elitism, and too many users stealing other users personal memes. Indeed, a nonsensical thread name is often the subject of many spin-off threads, soliciting varying responses from those who either have a friendship with those who post or band together to alternately attack or protect others who criticise the thread.
