So I'm at work just now watching the London Eye go round when the phone rings. It's someone called Alice, and she's calling from a recruitment company to see if we need any temps. I tell her she needs to speak to our operations manager, but she's in a meeting and could she call back later/tomorrow.

That's all fine, and then she says "OK, thanks Sam" and puts the phone down. She knew who I was even though we've never spoken before and I didn't tell her my name.
