I've only met her a coupla times but we've spoken on Facebook and stuff. Anyway, her status is that she's spending Christmas alone for the second year running. When I enquired why, she said flights are too expensive to go back to the US, a friend can no longer afford to spend it in France with her, so consequently she's alone.

I feel really sorry for her, but don't know what I can offer. Over Christmas I'll be with my family and catching up with Tom, but I really want to offer her something; it's horrible to think of her being in a foreign country alone at Christmas. Any ideas DiS?!
