I know this is standard English, but does anybody else think it sounds wrong

"It enabled me to move much more quickly"

vs.

"It enabled me to move quicker"

The second wins, Shirley? A victory for common sense, I'd like to think

Also, as an aside, has anybody else noticed their bogeys getting much harder in recent weeks? I'm finding it increasingly difficult to blow my nose. Are hard bogeys associated with cold weather? If so, why did I never know/realise this?
