Drab, Victorian (Grade II Listed), multiple locked doors (as you'd expect), more keys than you can shake a stick at, surprisingly good food (jerk chicken, rice and peas, pineapple fritters), segregation unit was ROUGH (prisoners were 'Shitting Up'...'Dirty Protest' to you and I), cells were even smaller than you'd imagine, Daily Mail readers need to take a tour as it's really no picnic, pretty decent gym, lots of educational facilities, but just massively oppressive atmosphere and fortified like a South Armagh RUC station circa 1980.
