Music Social More…

are tall people more likely to occupy positions of authority?

Smee [Edit] [Delete] 12:38, 4 December '08

I was just thinking about it and I think they are. They must get used to people literally looking up to them from an early age, and people reacting to their domineering physical presence so much that they just become natural leaders, for want of a better phrase.

Thinking over some examples the following spring to mind:
-in all offices I have worked in, the senior management/directors have all been really tall.
- the owner of the restaurant I worked in was an Irish giant.
- George Bush, despite looking puny on camera, is very fucking tall.
- Peter Crouch, a king amongst men.

what are your thoughts? any more examples?
