I was supposed to catch the 8:45 train from Thurso to Glasgow today. It's like 300 miles so missing it would be a nightmare as the next train is at 1 and it's an 8 hour journey.

Anyway, i missed it. Ran onto the platform as it was pulling away. Fuck. What an idiot i am. An old man recognised my woe as i threw my baggage about in a rage. How could i be so stupid?

Well he offered me a lift to the next station - 6 miles away - and i accepted. We raced through morning traffic and made it on time, hopped on and it was about to pull away.
