date posted: Wednesday, 3rd December 2008
date ending: Tuesday, 16th December 2008
BBC Radio Bristol

12 month contract/attachment

We're looking for a new presenter with an irresistible on-air personality, great programme ideas and the ability to hit just the right spot day after day with our target audience.

BBC Radio Bristol and BBC Somerset broadcast to one of the most attractive, vibrant and diverse parts of the country. Covering Bristol, Bath, South Gloucestershire and Somerset, we have some of the country's most talented and popular radio presenters. Now we have a vacancy for a new host for our Afternoon Show which is broadcast across both stations. It's a blend of A-list celebrity guests, fantastic music and brilliant company for our listeners. If you are the sort of presenter who gets their programme talked about, we'd like to hear from you.

You'll be working in a multi-media environment and will need to have an understanding of the direction in which the BBC's local services are heading and how you will be able to play your part. You will also need to be able to demonstrate clearly your awareness of the diverse nature of the audience we serve and how you intend to appeal to listeners from all cultural backgrounds and walks of life.

CV's are not accepted as a voice demo and other information is required - full details can be found in the application form. Interviews are planned to be held across 8th or 9th January.

At the BBC we respect each other and celebrate our diversity so that everyone gives their best. The BBC positively encourages applications from all parts of the community and is committed to promoting equality of opportunity.
