Dave Cameron thinks there should be an election

Smee [Edit] [Delete] 17:36, 9 December '08

He says the lines on which politics operate have been re-drawn since the last election and the issues that people voted on in 2005 are generally irrelevant to today's economic crisis. The only fair and just way for any government to operate in this climate, he says, would be with a fresh electoral mandate behind them.
"I know opposition leaders often call for elections" he says... but does his justification for this request really convince you that he's not just pedalling the opportunism we have come to know him for? Or does he really have a point? Should there be an election?
