Five of them are apparently willing to plead guilty if it means receiving a death sentence.

Obviously for the families who lost people in the attacks, all they would want is to see these guys dead, and considering they're being charged with the murders of close to 3,000 people it would usually be a formality

BUT

Is the smart thing to do in this case to keep them locked up, but alive, for the rest of their lives to deny them the only thing left that they actually want? I think it would be a tough sell to most Americans, but it would seem to be the more appropriate punishment....
