I've already been paid and I don't really care if anything gets done or not to be honest.

I hate living in Northamptonshire so quiting my job will force me to look for work in Leeds (where I want to live) I know that I won't bother otherwise. I'm taking christmas/new year off and then looking for work again in January.

Quitting your job when you haven't got another one lined up... a pretty stupid thing to do during a recession? Probably, but hey ho. :)
