Got a phonecall at 4am on Friday saying he had collapsed by the bed, dad went round and sorted out the ambulance.

I've just been to visit him today (couldnt go sooner because my work shifts run over the 2 visiting hours), and I can honestly say that having to feed someone their tea because their hand is paralysed has to be one of the most depressing/uncomfortable things I've had to do in recent times.

This is the person whose house I used to stay in as my summer holiday as a child, and used to look after me and keep me amused.

Sad times :(
