Sister Ray in Soho is still open

prole-art-threat [Edit] [Delete] 14:26, 23 December '08

Haven't been there for a year and was expecting it to be boarded up - althought heartened that is wasn't I left feeling terribly depressed armed with only Cut by the Slits on vinyl and somewhat piqued that the Barry Ryan album I'd wanted seemed to have no disc for it anywhere in the store. At the counter there was a copy of Mojo with the 47th Clash cover (what, no Dylan in 66 for the xmas issue?), which made me suddenly think just how archaic the notion of 'rock' music is at present - of course as a marketing phenomenom you can repeat to fade but in terms of something to sustain you through life based on incredibly formulaic rules that jsut don't fit to comfortably with the 'changing' times then well........its over bar the pouting for some record shops.

HAPPY CRUNK-mESS
