watched the first episode over the weekend and thought it was a really flat, dull way to begin a series (especially a brand new one) it was all very 'setting up the story' but in a really unimaginative way.

at the end when forgotton-his-name-young-main-one left his teacher in the middle of a lecture about his test scored being rubbish and drove away in the car, would have been cool IF you felt like he was off to SAVE THE WORLD this is way more important than school, im a superhero IF you felt he was really fighting for something, but all we've been told about the demons is that they are 'freaks' they dont seem to be causing massive destruction or anything and so far his encounters with them have been pretty tame and they were killed really easily.

so, so far - not impressed.

also can anyone think of a problem thats buffy/angel-esque and GOOD?
