Some Notes on Norwich

lemonbrickcombo [Edit] [Delete] 11:13, 11 January '09

8/10, possibly edging a 9. Wonderful city.

Friday night was fun, I think. I went to some club called Optic for my friend's 21st, which wasn't great, but I had fun sorta. She seemed to enjoy it. However, beforehand I went to this bar called The Birdcage which was all kinds of brilliant: everyone sits on old proper furniture, and the decor and layout was so relaxed and lovely. And the barmaid was drop dead gorgeous. Not fair is it?

Saturday was even better- there's so many great little record stores, was very tempted by some Fugazi and Minor Threat vinyl, though in the end I just cleared out Zavvi.

Also visited the castle and the cathedral, and learnt that Norwich castle has Europe's largest collection of teapots. Which is brilliant. And also that the monks in the cathedral used to fight with the whole town. Warrior Monks.

UEA is awesome too huh? I love those Ziggurat student accomodation, and the Sainsbury Centre, and their great music venue- puts Bath to shame to be honest, with our pokey horrible club.

Norwich is full of win. And cheap calendars of darts players.
