I've had an email to my blog account today from an American band I've posted about in the past with this message:

"...please let us know if you plan to be attending SXSW, so that we can keep you up to date with our performance schedule and, hopefully, arrange to meet you. Also, we'd love for you to keep us in mind for any parties or showcases that you may be hosting."

Now, I failed in an attempt to put on a gig above a bar last summer. The chances of me, a Brit who blogs about Now! albums, hosting any sort of SXSW showcase is surely automatically negligible.
