I'm getting my paycheque (yep, an actual cheque) tomorrow, but I really need the moeny for this weekend.

It's a Barclays cheque and I'll be paying it into a Barclays bank. I've got it in my head that maybe I could "cash it in", perhaps? As it's between the same banks? I dunno. If not, does it take less times for it to clear if it's Barclays-Barclays?

Alternatively, if Barclays can't give me cash quick, what are these places that offer to "cash cheques"? There's one on my road that looks pretty official called Money Shop, but I've never used them before. Surely they take a massive slab of your money?
