I was in one aged 15 ('ENGRAVED INVITATION'!!) which was made up of a guy I knew from music class who was proper bad and later got expelled for smoking pot, me playing Richey Edwards-style imaginery guitar, with a rhythm section of two committed Christian guys who were in another band at their Church Youth, but were the only drummer and bassist at school who would play with us. The bassist had bleached hair and glasses and looked like he should be in Sublime.

- Going To --------- High School Makes Me Want To Slit My Wrists (our 'Rape Me')

- Holocaust Denier, where we tackled this important topic with zero insight and zero lyrics other than shrieking the title in different forms

- Go There With Me, one of the Christian songs, was about reaching Heaven, I didn't know this until we typed up the cassette cover

- Anodyne - another of the religious side of the band's contributions, nicked 3 entire verses from Everclear for the lyrics

The most uneven band in history in terms of subject matter

We lasted 4 months, one cassette recording of 7 songs (cover actually featured some lightning) and once it was over the other two reconstituted it as a fully Christian rock band called....Purple Toothbrush.

I'm past the 10 year statute of limitations on embarrassment now
