MP3 players (alternative to apple advice-centric)

morepricksthankicks [Edit] [Delete] 11:34, 10 February '09

I've had a few ipods over the years and my most recent one has died. The thing is, I'm not sure if I want to spend nearly £200 on an ipod classic. I mean, 40GB held too much music (I'd spend hours scrolling through trying to decide on what to listen to) and the new one's 120GB. The ipod nanos are expensive when you bear in mind that remarkably similar MP3 players can be obtained for half the price (I'm not paying £100 for an 8GB MP3 player with some gimmicky features).

Ideally I don't want to spend over £100, but I don't care about features - as long as it plays music and sounds good I'm happy.

Anyone had any good/bad experiences with Non-Apple MP3 players? Recommendations please.
