I'm moving there for uni (more than likely...) in September. I'm familiar with the area (names of places, locations and such) as my ex went to De Montfort, but after hearing the news of The Charlotte closing down, and after hearing bad opinions of it, what're your views?

Nightlife, atmosphere, general student-friendly city?
