As neutral Liverpool-haters, what were your thoughts?

They were better at building attacks up and coming at us - which can only be expected when you play Real Madrid away - but our defence was rock solid.

I think the best thing about is was the way we broke so swiftly. Alonso's wonderful passes tearing them to shreds. We just missed someone to get on the end of them.

As for the goal - brilliant. After that, their heads dropped.

Fully deserved - and fully enjoyed, not least due to all the "Liverpool are going to be embarrassed" comments I was reading on here.
