I was just reading about the world's billionaires and trying and failing to imagine what life might be like with that kind of money, particularly when you are in your 20s or 30s. I just can't fathom it really. I have no idea how you would keep your friends or have any semblance of a normal life.
Anyway, how rich are people you know? I don't think I know anyone that rich. There are a few consultant doctors and GPs in our family so they are pretty well-off but as for friends nobody (as far as I know) is rich beyond them or their parents doing reasonably well-paid jobs (no landed wealth or City fortunes or large business owners).
One of my friends nearly got rich but his aunty left all her money to her cats.
