i thought i had this down but some woman at work confused the fuck out of me...

so....in my understanding.....say you got a 12-1.......and you want to put a fiver on each way......that means you actually have to put a tenner on because there are two seperate parts to the bet....the coming first stake (£5) and then the eachway stake (£5).....or......if not that...then it would be £2.50 each way....right?...half of the five....

then...if the horse wins....you get the winning stake and a quater odds of the each way back.......if he comes in 2nd or 3rd.....you lose the winning stake and take a quater off for each place.....so 2nd would pay at 9-1....3rd pay at 6-1.....

that pretty much it?
