About a week ago two friends and I put a deposit down on a house (to rent) to take it off the market. Today a friend of ours says he has recently (today or yesterday i think) put money down on THE SAME HOUSE. What I want to know is where do I stand. Should the house be given to us as we put the money down first? or should it be given to them on the basis that our agency presumably made a mistake?

i am seriously worried. and if my friend takes the place i am going to be seerrriously fucked with him.
