so, having cleared my sunday afternoon and evening of things to do i think "sweet - i'll try and record some really bad tunes basic demos so that i can torture my flatmates/feel unnecessarily smug with my music". so i install all the software, then lo and behold, the damn thing will only record left hand side - right hand side's getting just static. what the fuck? about half an hour of investigation reveals that it's most likely my little jack adaptor which is, to use a technical term, buggered. grrrrrrrrrrr. so now i have to wait til i can get to an electronics shop to buy a replacement sometime this week.
