My gang came upon some resistance last night

yes_ [Edit] [Delete] 16:17, 17 March '09

We were on a routine operation to the Waitrose bins last night to gather the discarded out of date and/or damaged provisions for the week (a gang marches on it's stomach). All was proceding as usual until we were approached from behind by a rival. I shot her a look as she took of her backpack, seemingly untroubled about pilfering our supplies. The tension in the air was tangible. I threw down a reduced bag of sliced granary loaf. "That's Dan's", she growled, as if to challenge myself, Ladies' Man and Gravedigger. We stepped up. She backed down. We left.

It was a bracing experience, and whilst the presence of an enemy operating in our territory is unwelcome, at least we know more of them then they of us.

1. They have access to transport and are skilled in bike riding.
2. They use backpacks as opposed to disposable carrier bags. Smart move.
3. They are many.
4. They have a figurehead. "Dan" must be destroyed.

If you see anyone that isn't my gang operating in the Marchmont/Brunstfield/Tollcross areas, could you please ask them to leave. We are even trying to extend our territory to the South Bridge area and it's environs.
