To stretch the term, my all-time best was over a mountain in Wyoming. My favorite regular walk is by the lake (original) going south towards downtown, because like, there's the lake, plus the park on your other side and you can see all the buildings downtown and they get closer and are like a skysraping climax to your walk if you reach them. And then you can rest in the plaza and people-watch or hop on a bus up north again and zoom back over the route you've just tackled.
