How do you ditch a friend?

ladymelody [Edit] [Delete] 19:22, 10 April '09

OK this sounds harsh, and when written in black and white, it does seem even more brutal :( But I need genuine advice on how to phase someone out. Life is too short, and spending every Friday with a boring tosser has become too much to bare. Not least because I think it's the reason other people don't come and sit with us.

Not just Fridays, Wednesdays are commandeered also. I guess you'll need some details to decide if i'm being too harsh etc...

1. Too opinionated but doesn't like to debate, just says "no, no no....."until the person with an opposing opinion shuts up
2. Uses "middle class" as an insult
3. calls you a capitalist if you know, you buy anything from a shop

these seem drearily petty. Also, after 3 years, doesn't get the hint that i don't want to play in a band with him and persists in showing up at my house with his bass and sending me tabs for songs. He only likes The Beat and The Specials and NOFX lol which is kinda limited.

Bottom line is, if you're going out with someone, you can break up and never see them again, but you can't feasibly do it with a normal friend :(
