Mt nephew is finishing lower school and entering into his most crucial phase of his life.

Currently he;s at a fee paying school and recieves a 50% scholarship. Unfortunately I think my brother is having a mid life crisis and is going to pull him out of his school and send him to the local comp.

He says he can't afford it anymore but the reduced fee isn't that much and my brother seeems to have treated himself well in the last few months with a new car and loads of gadgets and is spending less time at home.

My mum is pleading for me to step in. If I do I'll have to find a new place to live so I can afford it.

I'm generally not in favour of private education but I don't want to tear the kid away from his mates and he's doing well.

But I might never be able to afford to provide for my own future saving someone else's...
