If you like Sci Fi

EustaceHPlimsoll [Edit] [Delete] 00:03, 16 April '09

and particularly 50s sci fi, then I suggest you listen to Journey into Space, which is on BBC7 at the moment.

It's funny - deliberately, and also because of its quaint 50s view of what the future would be like. It's brilliantly atmospheric and spooky, and it sounds amazing - both because of the production, the music and the sound effects, and because of the variety of cut-glass BBC accents. I love it.

A brief summary of the premise - it's 1979 and a fleet of ships, seemingly almost devoid of computers, crewed entirely by men from countries of the British Empire, and led by the brilliant Jet Morgan are on amission to Mars. But it's not very long before things start to go wrong...

Go on - give it a listen at bedtime. It's ace for going to sleep to - like aural horlicks or something.
