I've been ill the past two days - flu. So I've been watching a lot of films to pass the time, and it may just be the fever or the prescription painkillers talking, but 'Blade' is a kickass film. Granted, the other two were shit, but check it out:

A cool techno soundtrack
Pioneering but now dated special effects
Traci Lords literally vamping it up
Wesley Snipes kicking ass in black leather, shades and slo-mo a full year before Keanu jumped on the bandwagon
A big fat vampire being fried alive by a UV torch (perhaps the best pre-WTF moment of the nineties)
Stephen Dorff's malignant dickheadery improving rather than hampering his character
Hands down, the best sword fight of the nineties...
...followed by, hands down, the best evil genius destruction of the nineties.

Blade FTW.
