picnic advice required pt.2

jesus_son [Edit] [Delete] 14:23, 29 April '09

so the good news is, i have a checked picnic blanket

the bad news is, this is definitely not a date, confirmed by her asking to change the location so we can hang out with her friends. considering the options. should i...

a)go along, hang out with her and her friends, basically sit there feeling vaguely awkward while a load of people chat (mostly in a foreign language) and have a good time, then go home feeling crappy - this is definitely what will happen, this is what i do when meeting large groups of strangers.

b)insist on keeping the original arrangement and have a hollow picnic being always mindful of the implicit rejection and feel awkward at keeping her from having more fun by hanging out with her friends

c)cancel in a vaguely dickheadish, huffy fashion, probably making myself look bad but possibly scoring a minor internal victory against women and their annoying ways, and for all people who have felt led on everywhere (i should add, it was her who insisted on this taking place, and has given me reason to think it wasn't just platonic)?

d)cancel in a more gracious way in which i say something has come up, and we can rearrange for another time (though having no real intention of doing this)?
