I know this is a maudlin, sugar plumb image...but why oh why do I waste my time in clubs that smell of plastic toxines when I could be lapping up 1940s charm to a choir of rattling railway rungs?

I need to find a regular pub...and one where I'm not packed like a peach slice. One without noise pollution or people experiencing a helter-skelter of emotions that chime with the clock. I need to find ale. I need to find broken coasters and the smell of sawdust.
