Seriously, the BBC would never make a drama (literary adaptation or not) as weird, surreal and darkly humorous as Gormenghast, and it was only nine years ago. It's just a shame it's so more silly and cheerful than the book...

Also, Jonathan Rhys Meyers is just the hottest person ever. Right?
