Arsene Wenger and Real Madrid (Football Centric)

28yootoahfc [Edit] [Delete] 15:41, 19 May '09

These rumours seem to have been gathering speed in the last few days. Am I the only person who can't see this happening? Or if it does, it ending in tears? Throughout his time at Arsenal, Wenger has prided himself on bringing through up and coming players, moulded with the odd big name to achieve success. He's never been one to buy big names for the sake of buying big names.

Real Madrid on the other hand have had little success in bringing young players through and are linked with every superstar under the sun every year. Their fans demand immediate success every year and big names seem to hounded out of the job on an almost biannual basis.

I can't ever see this working. I could see Wenger getting on well at Barca where the club has the whole Catalan ethic, but not Madrid. Your onions?
