or alternatively, why are you not voting on thursday?

we had a mini discussion at work and views weren't very varied... they were mainly 'i'm not voting to make a stand against the Govt and their mess' to 'oh well, it's not important, it's only the European elections, what do they do anyway?' to 'what do they do? oh we vote for them to go on a jolly'

i'm voting because i think it's important to vote and i think every vote counts. i'll be doing my research tonight and tomorrow as i'm unsure as to who's standing in my area.
