from June 29th to July 13th. I'm flying out to Budapest and flying back from Budapest, but I wanna travel round lots on trains and visit Bucharest, Belgrade, Sarajevo and Zagreb. Anyway, advice please:

-good ideas for keep train travel cheap. I'm not doing enough journeys for it to be worth getting an interrail pass, am i?
-how do I successfully remain vegetarian?
-what cultural stuff should I do? tell me about the hip areas and the tourist sites plz?
-I wanna break up the journey from Budapest to Bucharest. is Cluj-Napoca nice?
